Essence
The Essence series of paintings is the first from the artist for 2009.
This exhibition of brightly colored abstract paintings expresses the uncertain destiny that individuals face and often question in silence. The works represent karma as individual, family or collective forms each with their own layers of ethereal energies.
These are all expressed through the artist’s use of characteristic uncomplicated, textured and intertwined lines.The aural fields and the relationship between the karmic forms suggest a sense of nostalgia despite the use of bold and warm colors. The pieces express the essence of human nature as a simple yet collective journey where individuals connect with their own environment whilst at the same time merging with the space and freedom that surrounds them.
